Billie Eilish references Johnny Depp on UK tour as he books a curry house in Birmingham


Billie Eilish has referenced Johnny Depp during her UK live tour as the Pirates of the Caribbean actor racks up a huge bill at a restaurant in Birmingham. The Bad Guy singer is performing nationwide and is coming to Birmingham next week.

Before that, she used her platform in Manchester to release a new song. And the track has lyrics alluding to Depp and Amber Heard’s trial.

“We haven’t played a new song live before it came out since 2017 or 2018,” she told the crowd. “It’s the one we just wrote and we just wanted to play for you.”

“The internet has gone crazy watching movie stars on trial as they flip Roe v Wade,” Eilish sang afterwards. Depp is currently on tour with Jeff Beck.

It is the singer’s first performance in England since performing at Reading Festival in 2019. The 20-year-old is also expected to headline at this year’s Glastonbury Festival later this month -this.

On Sunday evening, Depp booked an entire 300-seat curry house in Broad Street, Birmingham. Depp and Beck arrived with about two dozen members of their tour crew, starting at 7:30 p.m., enjoying a three-course dinner of chicken tikka shashlik, vegetable samosas and a king prawn entrée.
