He said, “We are independent contractors. We have to pay all our expenses – every hotel we have to pay for ourselves, food etc. You do everything yourself. And you have a family to feed. And you are missing cups. And when you miss a cup, you win nothing”

Bryson added, “You think it’s great (on tour), but once you start getting into the details and it’s your livelihood, it’s a very interesting storyline.” Plus, DeChambeau’s words prove how hard it is to survive on the Tour when a professional isn’t playing well. How did DeChambeau perform at the 2022 Masters?

The American professional didn’t play well at the 2022 Masters and didn’t finish as expected. He finished the first major championship event of the year with an overall score of 12 above normal. DeChambeau failed to make the cut and was unable to compete at Augusta National until the weekend. Plus, he hit a second-round eight-over-par, 80, to miss the cut by a whopping eight shots.
