Chennai Airport receives coveted international recognition for passenger service

Chennai: Chennai Airport has been recognized under the Airports Council International (ACI) Voice of the Customer initiative.

This initiative rewards airports that have continued to put their customers first and remained committed to ensuring their voice is heard during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021.

The letter of recognition received from Airports Council International stated: “Your airport has gone to great lengths to collect passenger feedback through ACI’s Airport Service Quality Program and this will help to better understand your customers while informing the continued delivery of a superior customer experience in challenging circumstances,” an official statement from the airport said today.

This recognition, in effect since 2020 and separate from the ASQ awards, is supported by ACI World’s industry partner, Amadeus, which helps airports improve travel experiences for passengers around the world and our ongoing strategic partnership comes at a time where it has never been more important for airports to listen to the voice of customers.

Chennai Airport Manager, Dr. Sharad Kumar said, “The team in Chennai has provided the best services to passengers amid the pandemic and this recognition is extremely encouraging.”

“Covid protocols were adhered to without fail and we are grateful to our valued passengers for their cooperation despite the strict regulations in place. We strive to provide an unparalleled airport experience for passengers and the airport community as a whole and we will continue to do so in the future,” he added.
