The City of Toledo and County of Lucas today released the City-County Consultant’s Joint Study on the Operation of the Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport. Campbell-Hill Aviation Group, a Washington DC-based consulting firm that provides a wide range of services to the aviation industry including analysis, strategic advice and support, prepared the study after approval by the city ââcouncil and county commissioners.
The study examined the efficiency of airport operations, including its financial performance, governance and business activities. The consultant’s study is based on public data, interviews with city and county officials, discussions with civic leaders and includes analysis of airport financial reports, historical travel patterns, trends air services; and surveys of business and leisure travelers in the Greater Toledo region. .
Among the study’s recommendations are increasing staff to improve the marketing and promotion of Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport to make it more attractive to airlines as they adapt to demands for flight services in a post-pandemic economy, adding the positions of airport manager and airport air. director of services and marketing, and development of a five-year business plan for the two airports to identify revenue growth opportunities. The study recommends continuing the governance of Eugene F. Kranz Airport Toledo Express in its current form.
