COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Colorado Springs Airport began the fall with an increase in boardings and seats, exceeding 2019 volumes. As of September 2021, 93,421 passengers were on board, an increase of 24, 4% compared to September 2019. The total number of passengers increased by 24.2% compared to 2019 with 186,287 passengers passing through the terminal in September.

The increase in capacity contributed to 129,575 seats in the market, an increase of 38.7% from September 2019. This increase is due to the addition of Southwest Airlines’ five non-stop markets in March 2021 and the growth of other carriers.

The latest route added to COS’s nonstop program is Frontier Airlines’ direct flight to Orlando (MCO). The service will begin on Friday, November 5 and is available for reservation now.
