Jobs up for grabs in North Staffordshire’s fanciest pubs

An award-winning advertising company launches a campaign to recruit new employees. Cheshire Cat Pubs and Inns operates six locations, including the Fitzherbert Arms in Swynnerton and the Mainwaring Arms in Whitmore.

The independent channel was created in 2009 by entrepreneurs Tim Bird and Mary McLaughlin. Their six pubs have all won awards, with Fitzherbert in Swynnerton having recently been voted Staffordshire Pub of the Year by Pub and Bar magazine.

And now they’re having an event today to try to recruit new employees to join their operation. It will offer people the opportunity to hear about Cheshire Cat’s ‘company culture’ and what it’s like to work for ‘one of the UK’s best small independent pub businesses’.

There will also be an introduction to the newly opened Fitzherbert Arms and Mainwaring Arms. Positions to be filled include management, reception and kitchen.

A spokesperson said: “There will also be information about our training and development programs as well as our earnings as you learn about the Hospital School which is launching this summer. There will also be a meet and greet with the team. Anyone who wants to work for an award-winning, fun, family-run advertising company should come see us.”

The event takes place on Wednesday April 27 from 4-9pm at the Fitzherbert Arms in Swynnerton. People can register their interest at [email protected]
