Hartford, WI – Flight for Life has filed a Letter of Intent with the City of Hartford, WI to open a new base of operations.
The new base will be located at Hartford Municipal Airport. The exact timing has not been identified, but the goal is for the base to be open in late 2022/early 2023.
This expansion will advance Flight for Life’s mission to provide Wisconsin communities with research-based critical care transportation services, while reducing response times to the northern service area.
This notice marks the start of the second phase of Flight for Life’s overall strategic plan.
This desired expansion project follows the opening of the base in Burlington, Wisconsin, in November 2021.

“At Flight for Life, our goal is to reduce the time it takes for patients to arrive at tertiary care centers in Southeast Wisconsin, allowing them to receive the appropriate care they need,” said Leif Erickson, Director executive of Flight for Life.
FFL has been a dedicated community partner for 38 years and this expansion is another example of Flight for Life’s commitment to communities in southeastern Wisconsin.
“We look forward to working with members of the City of Hartford leadership team in the near future and look forward to better serving all of the communities surrounding Hartford,” Erickson said.
