Tan Son Nhat International Airport Will Open a New Lane for Passenger Pickup and Dropoff | To travel

As a result, track D1 was built parallel to other tracks in front of the domestic station, fully equipped with traffic signs and ticket towers, as a backup for track D – the parking lot for taxis and cars signing a contract with the airport for passenger pick-up and drop-off purposes.

Head of TCP’s operations department, Nguyen Anh Tuan, said that in the event of a sudden influx of passengers at the station, track D1 could be opened for use requested by management to avoid traffic jams and unnecessary crowds.

At the end of 2020, the domestic traffic of Tan Son Nhat International Airport was reorganized, with four lanes A, B, C and D in front of the domestic station used for passenger drop-off (lane A) and pick-up (lanes B and C for passenger cars and lane D inside the TCP garage for transport company taxis).

After adjustment, tech taxis and contract cars are now allowed on these lanes but must use all 3rd4andand 5and TCP garage floors for pick-up purposes. Only Bee Co. after signing a contract with the airport is licensed to serve passengers at the international station, which is 100 meters away.

To minimize traffic jams and crowds, Head Tuan informed that in addition to the normal stairs, four elevators have been operated inside the TCP garage to help passengers move their luggage more easily. The garage also assigns enough staff to ask people to move around easily.
