According to Akron Police, officers were called to Furnace Street on Saturday morning with reports of a theft.

A member of the group told Akron Police investigators that their 2012 Ford Econoline E350 blue van and attached trailer were stolen overnight from the parking lot of the Courtyard Marriott hotel.

The pickup truck and trailer contained more than $ 50,000 in musical equipment and merchandise for the band, police said.

A group member said the following on Twitter: “We are trying to calculate the value of what was lost between the equipment and the merch and the personal stuff but it is a…. An overwhelming number. We have insurance for our equipment, but the policy doesn’t even cover everything we had.

Members of the Philadelphia-based band said they were renting a van and borrowing equipment from other touring musicians so they could continue the nationwide tour as planned.

The pickup truck has Pennsylvania license plates that read “KMS2589”.
